Scintillo, who will run for the first time for Australian owners Leonard and Jenna Lucas when he flies the flag for Richard Hannon's stable in Sunday's Japan Cup, has cleared the Shiroi quarantine and will have a spin around the track on Friday morning.
Richard Hannon jnr is supervising duties in Japan, along with Steve Knight, but the latter has already been in the wars.

Hannon said with an impish smile: "Steve took a fall riding his bike around the stable yard - he managed to safely complete 30 fences when winning the 1987 Grand National on Maori Venture, yet clearly four legs suit him better than two wheels!" Declaring Scintillo to having taken the trip well, Hannon added: "He seems fine and he was pleased to be able to stretch his legs and get some fresh air when he cleared quarantine.

"The weather is nice and cool and there is no rain forecast, so all is set fair and we have just met the new owners, who seems terrific people."
